The department of agriculture of Mitunguu Technical Training Institute started as a course with less than ten trainees and grown to a section and now to a full department.
The staff in the department strive to impart knowledge to the trainees and train them to acquire skills that will enable them to enhance their potentials and unlock the gates into possibilities to transform the agricultural dimensions in Kenya and beyond.
The department has large farm for practice where trainees grow various types of crops for learning purposes. We also do pig and goat farming and these acts as facilities for livestock production training.
The department trainees and trainers are involved in the beautification and greening of Mitunguu Technical Training Institute to ensure a clean and conducive learning environment
